It’s January, I live in Georgia and I want my potatoes shipped out this week so I can plant, how come you say it’s too cold to ship right now?  It’s sunny and beautiful where I live.

We are located in Washington State, just east of the Cascade Mountain range.  As you know, potatoes are very delicate and susceptible to freezing.  We are limited to shipping potatoes based on the weather conditions not only around our valley but the weather along the route of shipment to your doorstep.  Shipping in the months of January, February, and March can be difficult.  We do our best to try and get your product out as quick as we can, however we are at the mercy of Mother Nature.  The last thing we want is for you to open your box of seed potatoes to see that they have frozen in transit.  We appreciate your understanding when it comes to this.
