A most flavorful yellow currant tomato! While many people believe that all currant tomatoes are sour with little or no sweetness, Lemon Drop has a very nice sweet tart complement in a bright yellow, 3/8 inch diameter fruit. Out of a trial of over 50 currant tomatoes, Lemon Drop was selected as the best yellow type for its great flavor and yield. This wild tomato from South America is actually a different species (Lycopersicon pimpinellifolium) than the tomato in American commerce.
