Pumpkins

One packet = 4 g. CULTURE: Plant 3-4 seeds per foot, 1 inch deep in rows 4-5 feet apart (3 feet apart for brush varieties). Thin to 18 inches apart in rows. If planting in hills, sow 5-6 seeds per hill and later thin to 3 plants. Hills should be 3-4 feet apart. This long season species survives in our climate due to the long day length in summer. Best started indoors to make use of micro-climates and techniques to maximize warmth. SEASON: Warm season, plant after last frost. MIN. SOIL TEMP: 60 degrees Fahrenheit. GERMINATION: 4-7 days. SOIL: slightly acid pH 6.0-6.8.
