Big Top is a vigorous horseradish variety grown for its exceptionally large, high-quality roots and strong flavor. Horseradish is a hardy perennial plant cultivated for centuries for its pungent white roots, which are widely used as a condiment and culinary seasoning. The plants produce broad green leaves and can grow up to 5 feet tall when fully established.

The large tapered roots have very little aroma when whole, but once cut or grated they release the sharp, spicy heat and distinctive fragrance horseradish is known for. Big Top produces robust, vigorous plants with excellent root size and dependable yields, making it a favorite for both home gardens and fresh culinary use.

Growing Instructions: Plant horseradish roots in early spring in full sun and well-drained soil. Set root cuttings at a slight angle approximately 2–3 inches deep and 18–24 inches apart. Keep soil consistently moist during establishment. Horseradish spreads readily and grows vigorously once established, so plant in a permanent location where it can be managed easily.
