American Flag Leek is a classic cool-season variety known for its long, thick white stalks and broad blue-green leaves. It has a mild, sweet onion-like flavor that becomes more pronounced when cooked, making it ideal for soups, stews, sautés, and roasting.

Leeks grow best in cool weather and deep, fertile, well-drained soil. Gradual hilling around the stems as they grow will help blanch them further and improve flavor and texture at harvest.
